Here’s the results from our wee regatta in the weekend.
I’ve edited the official results as they cocked up a
couple of things by having Tom and Me as DNC's in one
race when we certainly were there – got the calluses and
bruises to prove it!!
A
bit of a poor turnout, just bad timing really with
people not being able to make it. Winds on average NE
10-12kts really good racing though.
Great to have Pete Melvin come sail with us and show us
how far we have to go to be able to be in his league!
He’s keen on doing some more racing with us before the
Nationals. He and Nat Shaver, who works for him back in
the States, are both here working for Team NZ for the
next 18 months so hope to have a lot more time on the
water with them and others from the Americas Cup
contingent who have A’s here at the moment. There’s 5 at
Team NZ plus a couple at the Oracle camp.
